A few weeks ago, our team exhibited in the Texas American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) tradeshow in Irving.
As usual, we start a year in advance planning how we will present at the show, but usually our preparation is kicked up a notch three to four months prior to the event to give us time for ordering new equipment.
This year, I envisioned a park setting. I really wanted to speak to architects so they can see for themselves that fun abounds is more than just “plopping” down a play structure and calling it a day for their project. We worked with Burke, Berliner, Percussion Play and Forever Lawn to make the dream of a tradeshow park come to life.
I was really excited at the end result, and I think we totally pulled off the vision. During the event, we welcomed several visitors to the booth and provided a fun place to hang out.
Also, I was honored to present a 15-minute CEU on “Fusing Outdoor Fitness and Community. Unfortunately, my presentation was nowhere to be found when I arrived to present. Luckily, I brought a flash drive, but the videos I included did not play, and quite honestly, I think those were the best parts!
All in all, a really awesome, engaging show. The playground designs continue to change, and again, the market truly seems interested and engaged.
If you missed my presentation and would like for us to come present to you, just let me know at 855-abounds or firstname.lastname@example.org!
